Sadly I've seen these same events happen in another channel where we hope on one or two people to bring life and just them. No one else does anything, no one else even attempts to do anything. In the case I'm speaking of the individual pretty much stopped coming to the channel, and after that it took a long time for something to start.
Also alittle side thing Kaito, there is a modify button on posts for a reason.

It seems that the people who bring life to the channel are europeans. This creates a rather big problem, due to the time zones...
You said before that it was just me, but since then I've noticed that Vaxx, too, is good at keeping Ze Deadness away. But you americans? You need more creativity, more.. Random crap that you can do and talk about.
You know what I mean.

Another problem is that things get all tied up in the time when you people are all on, so that when us Americans get online and decide that we want to try to do something, we can't because all of the other characters of any importance at all are all tied up doing something else in an RP that was not finished.
Solution: We could possibly have two completely different RPs running in the channel, each during their own individual timeslot. For instance, one RP could be at a time convenient for us in the States, while the other could be at a time convenient to Europe. Now, this would not bar people from being in both RPs, and what happens in one RP would not affect anything happening in the other (so there is hypothetical room for some moron to screw thinngs up. >_<), and it would also provide a second opening for ending ze deadness that tends to start the moment several of the european RPers decide that they need to go to sleep.

I don't think the solution would work well for me... It's hard enough for me to keep track of my characters without them having copies. Screws with my head way too much, as I'd mix them up and end up unable to keep track on any of them. Also; What would the differences between the RPs be? I can tell you pretty easily...
If someone gets in trouble, everyone would switch to the other RP, and the person in trouble would be forgotten completely. Sure, that already happens, but it'd be even worse if we had two RPs, as you can just ignore the one in trouble because he/she's alive and well in the other RP. It won't work out, one or both of the RPs will end up completely destroyed.
If we want to play around with characters that are busy/in trouble, we'll just do it OOC. It's as easy as that, really...

Yep, Americans are uncreative, just look at us! We can't think of anything really, we pretty much just take things from other cultures..... We may have come up with Football, which would confuse any other country, becuase Football to them is Soccer to us.... I mean, we call our game Football, but the only thing we use are feet for is running and punting the oblong spheroid.

Actually, Football was taken from the British Sport called Rugby. We just modified the rules a bit.

I would like to say that thanks to the heroic efforts of several members here, the deadness has been partially thwarted.
BUT IT IS RETURNING WITH GREATER FORCE.
Honestly, you lurkers, please stop being lurkers as much.
Even the great powers of Canada requires assistance in face of this mighty foe!

It has gotten a lot better... but enough about that. This is the flaming section.
So... this thread is now about lurkers.
DAMMIT, LURKERS, STOP WATCHING AND ACTUALLY JOIN IN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE!

Well what do you want US to do about that? RP them back into the storyline for you? Just RP them showing up, and you'll be back in, ya lazy good-for-nothing bum!

The guy owning that one place in the sidestory could just throw 'em out! I know I would do that, if someone comes in and then won't leave. Easy way to cut the side-story off, and it leaves the road open for another attempt.

but they're in an old mansion inside a mountain
do you honestly think a normal person owns that place? :UUU

A place like that wouldn't be owned by a normal person, but the person who does own it, despite not being normal, would still probably kick your lazy butt out of his house.
Hell, from your description, the guy owning the place probably had it built with the intention of cutting off most, if not all, contact with the outside world, a plan which your presence would screw up nicely. That'd give the place's owner a valid reason to kick people out.
