NAME: Liz Skywalker
GENDER: Female
AGE: 26
HEIGHT: 5’9”
WEIGHT: 150lbs
HAIR: Short, sandy blonde
EYES: Blue
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Several prominent scars along both palms, minor scarring along the right side of her neck
HISTORY: Despite her famous last name, Liz knows next to nothing of her actual family history. She has had little contact with her actual parents, in an attempt to keep her identity, and the scandal of its initial cover-up, from being released to the public.
Upon her birth, Liz was separated from her twin, Paige. A great potential for darkness was sensed in Paige, and it was decided that they should be reared apart, in the hopes that the extra attention with the darker daughter would help her stray from the impending trip to the dark side, and that lack of proximity would protect the other, Liz, from its effects.
It was only ever announced to the public that the famous Skywalker family had produced one heir; Paige Skywalker, who was raised as a senator in what was quickly becoming a family tradition. Neither daughter knew of the other for several years.
Liz was sent to live with a family on Corellia. Though the world was on the edge of civil unrest, the small farming community was thought to be the perfect place for her to grow up, and to hopefully avoid the trouble that had been brewing in the cities and in the stations above.
The idea worked, but fate would eventually catch up with the young girl. Seven years after her placement with the Corellian family, some of the trouble from the stations in orbit found it’s way to the planets’ surface. Pirates had taken notice of the waning security and constant threats against the system, and decided to raid for what they could. During a fight with some of the locals, some of the pirate’s ships crashed into the planet’s surface, throwing the small community that had been Liz’s home into turmoil.
The surface, too, was raided, and a small girl went missing, unnoticed as loved ones searched for their dead and dieing, rifled through ruins for possessions. The Skywalker family grieved silently for a child the world knew nothing about.
For many years, Liz remained with the pirates who had removed her from her home, being forced into cheap labour. She quickly realized that learning a useful skill would likely improve her chances of survival on this tough asteroid she’d learned to call home, and soon was learning all about the repair and operation of the mis-matched fleet of ships the pirates commanded.
Her skill with tools wasn’t always enough for her captors, her body bearing testament to the beatings she received in the times she wasn’t working, or from the training she forced herself through when no one was looking. As she grew in years, she became more and more able to defend herself, becoming somewhat of an amusement to her captors.
This continued until her 25th birthday, when a surprise raid by Rogue Squadron led to her rescue from the asteroid. She was returned to the New Republic, and quietly brought to the attention of the Skywalker family once more. Her reunion was hard and not exactly picture perfect, but from that point on Liz joined the New Republic, and consequently the squadron that had rescued her, quickly rising to the rank of Lieutenant with her excellent flying skills.
She still holds the position of Lieutenant to date; she has refused several offers to rise further within the squadron, preferring the camaraderie that her position offered her. Though her attitude tends to get in the way and to keep many people at bay, she is trustworthy nonetheless, and extremely loyal to those who show her kindness.
ABILITIES: Her emerging force powers are limited, though she is learning more every day. She leans mostly towards the light side, seemingly naturally, despite all the hardships she has thus far had to endure.
She is excellent with repairs, and a whiz with most technologies. The more patched together, the more the exciting challenge.
She is an accomplished fighter, though is of no particular school or style, other than what might be considered back yard or “dirty” fighting. Tough and reliable, she is always ready, and always willing, to answer a problem with violence the moment it looks like diplomacy might fail her.
She’s a quick draw with her blaster, though she prefers to rely on her own scarred hands.
