[08:14] <Astro_Ortsa> Hey Des. I figured you'd be the kinda dude to help me with this. I had an idea for a forum RP that's a war-like alternate to forest in the sense that drug-trafficking, POWs, one nation fighting another.. You know.. Stuff like that, but I don't wanna stick with that so I'm thinking of marking it as a changing-wing forum RP that's marked in acts. Like, Astro, for example.
[08:14] <Brenden> Ok, anything more?
[08:17] <Astro_Ortsa> Astro is a weapon for the military of Earth, as his Earth is getting to mind-control and experimenting with super human abilites. In this, he's a captured ex-warlord who's being interrogated for information about his nations secrets and his attempts to escape.
[08:17] <Astro_Ortsa> I've been thinking about the setting and it's changed because of this.
[08:18] <Astro_Ortsa> ..I thought you could help with this, since this is more of your niche than mine.
[08:20] <Brenden> Hmm, settings: Pre-Apoclyptic, post or even in between. Perhaps even a sub terain/survivour type setting with abadoned and destroyed buildings etc with only what the mind controlled have taken over.
[08:20] <Astro_Ortsa> I was thinking about that, but it didn't seem to fit well.
[08:20] <Astro_Ortsa> Like, for example, I've been thinking about the weaker characters and how they'd act.
[08:23] <Astro_Ortsa> Kikky, Blend, altDev, Serenity, Joanne, Timi, and Pirretei would be at a safe sector; a town abandonded once the war started. They've come there for refuge from the constant death and destruction around them, but people are constantly dying from disease and lack of proper food and medicines.
[08:23] <Astro_Ortsa> Ya know, like a third world country.
[08:25] <Astro_Ortsa> Then, for Rygaars, Des, Devic and Cyne would be in a section of their own. They help the poor and the weak, with attempts to protect their allies and try to recover what was lost for those affected at the risk of their own funding and safety.
[08:30] <Astro_Ortsa> Astro, Syriana and characters like them would be the large force; waging war against other nations and taking the weak, only to turn them into their own soldiers. They, generally, don't give a f*ck about anything other than what they've established and what they seek. Their militant force is more organized and larger with the bigger guns. However, they won't hesitant to kill one of their own if they mess up.
[08:30] <Astro_Ortsa> ..However, those are examples.
[08:31] <Astro_Ortsa> But, that's the general idea of this forum RP.
[08:31] <Astro_Ortsa> Now, it can change at anytime if it's a changing-wind RP.
[08:33] <Astro_Ortsa> What do you think?
[08:33] <Astro_Ortsa> Do I needa do into more detail or did I pull a Kal?
[08:34] <Brenden> Was gonna say Rygaars helping the poor? But that seems good, just make sure that the parts play out as you write them down or want them to roll.
[08:34] <Brenden> Sounds good so far.
[08:37] <Astro_Ortsa> The setting is, obviously, war torn and desolate. The environment runs a risk of being completely destroyed with smaller nations working for the bigger forces (Astro's nation for one) in nuclear weapons; the island is constantly being used as a test subject with its people taking the blows. The constant war has caused some people (Triss, Alriik, Lenali, Kattabi and such) to make their own armies to take down any and all sides so the island won't be completely devoid of life.
[08:39] <Astro_Ortsa> The waters are polluted for those in the safe sectors and run a risk of dying from radiation. The animals are radioactive from the nuclear testing and the mutated (Helen, Cecille, Epnaos, Myrian, Serath, Malacoda) use their powers to defend the weak, while rebelling and repelling the armies.
[08:40] <Astro_Ortsa> The Inn is the home for those that have been mutated.
[08:40] <Brenden> So Mal and all will be fighting Len?
[08:40] <Astro_Ortsa> Maybe.
[08:40] <Astro_Ortsa> This is what I see in my head, but it's bound to change.
[08:41] <Brenden> Heh, sorry I was kinda either mis-read and was just asking.
[08:41] <Brenden> ^^ Sounds good.
[08:46] <Astro_Ortsa> The ancient creatures (Vis, Obs, Amiana, Ravenia, Aaron, Red, Alyssa, Vuth, Avir, Vuth's pet, Carminia, Pirotess, Rainbow, that other unicorn) watch over the land and are saddened by its drastic change. They're, like, the Elders of the land; watching and waiting, being the ones to seek for advice and guidance. They don't side with either and drop cryptic messages about the others' activity.
[08:46] <Brenden> Hahah, nice.
[08:46] <Astro_Ortsa> They're like Gods, basically, with many people considering their sudden appearance in the wild a sign of things to come and a true blessing.
[08:47] * Astro_Ortsa sighs.
[08:47] <Astro_Ortsa> It's alot.
[08:47] <Astro_Ortsa> Then, there
[08:48] <Brenden> It is good, bro.
[08:48] <Astro_Ortsa> Then, there's all the alts we've introduced. Their role is very minor, as being ones controlled by fate and wander the island for no reason. Like zombie clones, if you will.
[08:48] <Brenden> Yeah.
[08:49] <Astro_Ortsa> On top of all this, I've missed a few characters.
[08:49] <Brenden> Meh, I got your point.
[08:52] <Astro_Ortsa> There's also Crim, who protests the end of the war by kidnapping significant people for both armies, takes hostage whole cities and destroys large portions of armies, like a terrorist group.
[08:52] * Astro_Ortsa exhales!
[08:52] <Astro_Ortsa> OK!
[08:53] <Brenden> Got it.
[08:53] <Astro_Ortsa> Now that it's all out.. What do you think and can you help me any?
[08:55] <Brenden> Well, it looks good, possibly refine what the characters are doing and|or give them a final goal and the means to accomplish said goal through trial and error and that should be ok. Throw in actual consequences to actions, like if this army does this to a certain part of the island how will it effect the remainder.
[08:58] <Astro_Ortsa> Right.
[08:59] <Brenden> Other then that, I think ya got it down.
[08:59] <Astro_Ortsa> The roles are set by how I see then, but the final goals are set by the owners of the characters themselves.
[09:00] <Brenden> Yep.
[09:03] <Astro_Ortsa> Well, that's pretty much what I said; Nuclear war has/is destroyed/ing the island or planet they're on, war has caused the weak to die from injuries, illness or radiation with people rebelling through their own armies and mutant armies help to defend the weak.
[09:03] <Brenden> Yep, yep
