(OOC: So, here we go. It's going to seem a bit strange, how I'm going to do this, but it should work if everything goes like I'm hoping. I do understand it's a few days before Halloween, but I'm fine with it running into November. Without further ado, this is my forum event. Have fun and enjoy. ) The moon sits high in the sky, like a gem shining in total darkness, in the blackened sky as the wind calmly blows. The outside air is a tad chilly, showing signs of the approaching winter season. You find yourself sitting in a train, with no way to leave the train station for there is a turned over bus blocking the north exit and the roof has seemingly collapsed over the south tunnel entrance. Beyond the bus, you can see the head of an overpass with faint traces of shapes sitting on the overpass. The smell of burning paint, rubber, wood, and gas fills the air outside amongst the faint moans, groans, and the occasional howl, along with the crackling of burning objects that can be heard in the distance. It is, for the most part, silent. The inside of the train car is lit up only by the fire that burns outside, casting a faint orange light to the inside of the passenger car, along with the moonlight shining in. You can see objects littering the ground, and in the luggage rack above the seats, showing signs of human life that once sat within this train. A few windows are cracked or missing, the ones that held up are splotched and/or blotted with dried blood. Along with the smell of buring objects and liquids outside, the smell of rotted and dead human corpses primarily fills your nostrils and the near-silent buzzing of flies can be heard within. There are three exits: the first door between the Captain's compartment, the second door settled between a set of seats and the third exit which is the door to the next car. The first and second exits lead to the outside. The seats are a navy blue color, as shown by the moonlight, and some splotches of blood are dried on the seats as well. The Captain's compartment is empty. Should you try to the controls, you will find they are dead. Is there any power being supplied to it? Outside the car, you can see the toppled over bus, the dead overpass, a burning car, and the station itself. Just like the overpass ahead, the station is dead. There are, scattered about in random fashion, small pools of dried blood and dried, bloodied footsteps; along with a random set of bloodied paw prints. Beyond the station, you can see a road with stores lined along the street with broken or boarded up windows and missing or broken doors. The lamp posts are not on, the only light coming from the burning car that sits out of view. The information you were told was to meet the messenger here, in this very spot, but it has been well over the time that was scheduled. The phrases, "There will be others" and "Do not be alarmed" echoes in your head. Did something go wrong?Where are they? A figure slowly makes their way onto the docking platform, the sound of hollowed knocks barely within earshot as their feet scrape against the ground....

A giant panda, apparently robotic in nature, is sitting in the train car. He shifts every now and then, something hidden within the oversized claws he holds clasped in his lap. Although he seems uneasy, he doesn't seem about to move. This is the right place, isn't it? he wonders, questioning his own judgement, but no. It has to be the right place. They were given details, down to the number of the train car they're currently sitting in. Why would they be sent to a graveyard such as this?
A slight movement, a murmur and a wince comes from within his paws and he looks down at the small, pink rabbit he's been holding safe. She had worked herself too hard, dealing with unruly clients who decided to come late during the night, and as such she had decided to sleep as the panda brought them to their new destination. Only now is she stirring, wincing again as she drags her paw-like hands over her eyes and speaking in a groggy girl's voice. "What... Babou... why's it burning, what, what's that smell..."
Babou doesn't answer, instead frowning as he unclasps his large claws from each other, letting them move to the sides and open to show his partner their surroundings. The small bunny sits up, rubbing the last traces of sleepiness out of her eyes as she looks around. She starts to ask about their client, but trails off after just a few words as she realizes where they are and just what the scent filling the air is.
"What- where are we!?" she cries in alarm, turning to stare up at her friend. "Where is this??"
"The meeting spot..." Babou answers softly in a deep, rumbly voice.
"No! No, this isn't the meeting spot!"
"It is."
Suppressing an annoyed yell, the bunny jumps down from her friend and rushes out of the train car, coughing and looking around as she breathes in. The air's still burning outside, but at least there are no corpses there. She glances back as Babou follows her outside, the panda concerned but many times slower. "Chess? Where are you going?"
"We're getting out." she answers, putting tiny hands on her hips as her long ears hang down. "This is a trap, a Corruptor looking for victims -!" She cuts herself short for a moment, shuddering lightly. "Didn't you notice the smell?"
Babou nods. "Not a trap." he murmurs.
"Are you kidding me!? There's no way it isn't a trap, setting up a meeting in a place like this! Abandoned, bloody, you can smell the stench of his previous victims!"
Babou quietly waits for his partner to finish before answering. "He's human."
"Christ, Babou..." Chess holds her hands on her head, sliding them down her ears. She seems to be calming down, but her hands are quivering softly. "This is the stuff of horror movies... If I didn't know better I'd think you died on the way here and we're in Silent Hill or something..."
Babou doesn't answer, simply frowning. Finally, once Chess appears to have calmed down enough, he holds a huge paw to her. "We're alive." he says, taking a great care in picking the exact words. "And we're safe. Let's go back."
"I'm not going back in there." Chess lets out a long sigh. "It smells like a butcher's house. You remember, right? That butchery?"
Babou just nods softly, then blinks as Chess grows alert in an instant. She jumps into his paw and he picks her up, holding her to his chest as he looks around for the source of her sudden change.
"You hear that?" she asks, likely seeing his troubles. "Someone's approaching..."
"Maybe our client?"
"Right, yeah." Chess climbs up onto Babou's large shoulder, turning toward the sounds as she makes herself comfortable. "Let's hope so."

The robotic panda and his rabbit companion, Babou and Chess, will see the figure walk to them as their pace speeds up a bit. It walks with a limp and as it passes by a window, they will catch a brief glimpse of the face of their client: it seems to be a female, but something is wrong. She has claw marks on her face, her lips seemingly ripped from her mouth. Her teeth snap together, giving off a rather loud clicking noise. Her gas mask hangs around her neck, her iris' a pinkish-orange color. The hair atop her head is matted with blood, patches of skin missing to show the skull that sits beneath. Some of her jaw is showing, the skin that was there had been ripped off.
She extends a handless arm out to Babou and Chess as an exhaled growl escapes her lipless mouth. Her walking has increased, her "good" hand slapping against a large, rectangular, hollowed box attached to her wrist. Could this briefcase be theirs? Is this why they were sent here to this graveyard?
The words of their female hirer echo, "To see this through, survive by any means necessary. Do not hesitate to fight back."
The female is closing in on them fast. If something is not done soon, Babou and Chess may end up just like their client!

Babou watches as the woman approaches, frowning as he sees her state. He doesn't speak though, leaving that task to Chess, who's a bit less sympathetic to the woman's plight. "Cripes, what happened to you?" the bunny asks, head tilted to the side. "Ambushed?"
Noting that the wounds don't appear to be bleeding though, she quickly disregards the disfigurement - after all, they've spoken to many scarred people, although maybe not ones scarred this badly - or this recently. "Areas like this are dangerous... Corruptors don't take kindly to people in their territory." she says, trying to hint at a short transaction. "What was it you wanted from us?"
Babou says nothing, watching as the woman comes closer and closer. The growl strikes him as weird - humans don't growl. No, humans don't growl at all. He frowns. "Is that our client?" he asks quietly, causing Chess to glance to him.
"Who else would it be?" she whispers to him. "Who else would be out here?"
"We need to help her. She's wounded..."
"The wounds aren't bleeding, she's probably fine."
Babou nods softly, giving in without arguing. He resumes watching the woman, ready to catch her should she fall. Chess simply waits for a reply, the human doesn't seem to be in pain and that means she has likely tended to her wounds already. Why she hasn't chosen to get them properly healed she doesn't know, but she must have her reasons. It isn't any of their business.

Their client approached the pair, now a few feet away. She does not answer them and her stench of death is now apparent. The two will see another figure come onto the docking platform, then another, and yet another. It seems their client wasn't alone.
Now being able to see her fully, thanks to the light from the burning car- which reflects in the red lense of her gas mask-, they can see her clothes are ripped and torn with deep wounds on her gut. Her right leg is in no condition to be walked on, yet, she is.
Her clothes are dotted with blood; she wears black body with pockets on her chest for storing ammunition, grenades, there is a sheath for a knife, and a flashlight holder. Around her neck is a helmet, which has been cracked at the crown of it. There is a briefcase attached to her other hand, which is gloved with an elbow pad on it. She wears long a sleeved sweater and a harness with her body armor, as well as black pants. There is a holster on the thigh of her right leg, which is missing a kneepad. Her handless arm fully stretches out to Babou and Chess, a loud moan coming from her mouth. This alerts the company that she brought with her and the others begin to make their way over.

Chess falters as she notices the scent of death. But a woman, a human woman, surely can't have killed someone else... She stubbornly refuses the thoughts of zombies - no, zombies are fake, they're incredibly fake! She's only seen a few movies with them, and they looked and acted pretty much exactly like this woman is, but...!
Babou puts a large paw to block the woman's approach and pushes at her, trying to knock her onto her back. He looks to his partner, frowning.
"What's going on...? What is this?" Chess asks, as though expecting the panda to have an answer. But he doesn't have one, just shaking his head.
"She's dead." is all he says, his deep voice just a murmur. Chess grimaces, resisting the urge to just yell at him, and holds onto his shoulder a bit tighter. He glances to her, nodding and starting to move without a word.
"There are... there are more." she murmurs, glancing toward the sounds of more people. "There are other people. I told you it's an ambush!"
Babou just nods slowly as he approaches the exit he came from. Whoever these people are, their client likely isn't among them. He figures that they can just search out their client, if she is still alive. Whether these people are normal, aiming to attack them or frighten them for a prank, or actual zombies filled with a virus - it doesn't much matter. Their robotic hides wouldn't be affected by human diseases, would it? And they've already been struck by the Corruptor virus, meaning they're already ill...
Chess just clings onto Babou, glancing about at the zombie-like people, her ears lowered but seeming just as annoyed as she is unnerved. She murmurs to herself about them being creeps, scanning them for any weapons as attacking a robot unarmed would be a rather stupid move for an ambush.

Their client falls onto her back, a folded piece of paper sliding out of one of her pockets. She seems to be having a hard time getting up as her hand gives way and the briefcase sits on the ground next to her hand. The trio of others give loud moans and begin to make their way over to the pair of robotic animals. The moonlight shows their torn and tattered, bloodied clothing as well as their various wounds.
Chess' scan will reveal they are unarmed and wide open for an attack, as well as an attack on them.
To their left is a wide, open space the pair will be to run through and beyond it is an alleyway; a very black and barely seeable alleyway. What may lurk within this alleyway is a total chance of luck; be it a posse of walking dead or just simply trashcans and one's garabage. To their right is the passenger car.
The wind begins to blow, causing the paper to flap about. Briefly, one may be able to see the edge of an arrow with a the letter 's' beneath it. What could be on this paper?

The paper catches Chess's eye, and she hops down from Babou's shoulder to snatch it up before the wind can get it. A clue to who would lead them into this ambush - or anything else of use - is far too important to just leave. She glances to the woman that's struggling to get up, then to the briefcase attached to her hand - it looks to be weighing her down, she notes, and is likely the reason she's having so much trouble. Yet, she doesn't really want to start fidgetting with the cuffs, and within a few seconds Babou has snatched her from the ground.
"Babou, take the briefcase." she orders, pointing down as it as she looks to her panda friend. Normally she'd be upset about him snatching her up, but in a situation like this she honestly doesn't mind. Whether he too has noticed the woman's difficulties, or is simply obeying because he feels like it, she doesn't know as Babou reaches down with his free paw, digging a large claw into the cuff's chain and burying it into it until the chain snaps. He picks up the briefcase, glancing back to the woman as he turns and walks off down the alleyway. It's the way he came after all, he's certain he knows the paths even if Chess doesn't, the bunny occupying herself with trying to read the note she had picked up.

Chess will be looking at a map of the local area. The spot where they are is labelled with a '2'. Currently, they are on 'Euston Drive', which seems to travel a good distance north, then makes a hard upward angle to northwest. The alleyway they are going to travels on for a little while, before connecting to the backdoor on a shop, along with a tennis court that goes towards the main road, "Twin Lakes Road."
Their client manages to climb to her feet and shambles after Babou and Chessm her "friends" coming after them as well. Once making it out onto Euston DR (Drive), there is a large group on the undead to their right. They seem to be crouching over someone, feasting upon them and too busy to notice the pair.
In the alleyway, they will find it is dark and the gate behind them swings in the wind. It creaks and gently pushes into the brick wall that it's resting against. The chain that once held it shut barely moves in the wind, but the padlock swings a bit. In this alleyway, they can smell rotted trash and the buzzing of flies fills their ears.

Chess groans in annoyance as she sees what the paper contains, bundling it into a ball. "Nothing useful..." she laments to herself, stretching and glancing about as she enjoys the ride - until her ears catch a sound. The sound of flesh being torn, chewing... Her eyes widen as her gaze trails onto the source of the sounds, and she grows pale as she sees what is happening. "Babou-?"
Babou looks to her, and she hops down into his arm, hiding among his giant claws. She points toward the undead with one hand, but otherwise refuses to turn toward it in any way. "What are they- what are those people doing? They're humans, why... What are they eating!?"
Babou looks at the feast, stopping. Chess looks up at him, almost yelling. "Why're you stopping?!"
"It's a human." Babou answers, turning his head away and holding Chess tight to himself as he resumes moving. The rabbit clenches her teeth, batting at her friend's chest with a small hand and glaring up at him.
"Why did you take us here!?" she yells at him, angry, but not putting any effort into any of the hits. It's not like he would feel it. "Why are these humans looking like horror movie monsters!?"
"It wasn't this way when I arrived..." Babou murmurs, his solemn and unsure tone betraying distress. Not very obvious distress, but clear enough for Chess to pick up on it. His grip on her tightens further and he sets the briefcase in his embrace with her, using both paws to keep her safe.
"What do you mean it wasn't...?" Chess whines, holding her ears as she huddles together. "This really is like a horror movie..."
Babou just frowns, doing his best to keep his friend calm. It's upsetting him to see her distraught like this, but what can he do? Their current situation is very creepy, and unlike him she can't fight much. With her sensitive ears, he can't even quite fathom what she's hearing from the human-like beasts around them. But it's enough for the bunny to keep her ears covered, and that's enough for him to search for an exit. The paths aren't the way he recalls them, but he quickly finds the gate and raises one paw to grab the gate and pull it open so as to let them head through.

The gate squeals to a close, the duo now in the alleyway. It is quite dark, and it smells of old and rotted trash. Babou may find himself stepping in puddles of a liquid or on a cardboard box every so often. The shadows seem to provide the two with temporary safety as their undead friends slowly make their way over to them. The sounds of flesh getting ripped off the bone get farther and farther away.
As they continue to walk, the metal gate leading into the tennis court comes into view. The tennis court has a gate on the farthest side that leads onto the street and they will see a legion of the undead scrambling passed it. Up ahead is a faint light as a door swings open and shut. To their right, across from the tennis court, they will see a series of chainlink fences as a large shadow zooms past.

Babou looks around as he walks through the alleyway, keeping a constant pace. He's in a hurry, certainly, but wearing himself out when there's no need to run would be a bad move. He doesn't care about what he steps on, hardly even feeling the things he crushes under his paws, and smiles as he sees the tennis court - he enters it, releasing his protegee for only a moment to close the gate, and looks around the court as he moves away from the gate, into the vast empty space. No zombies, that's enough for him and he sits down.
"Why are you stopping?" Chess asks, looking up at him, and he just motions around them. The bunny looks around, and nods with a mean smirk. "Oh, I see...! They can't reach us here!"
Babou smiles in relief. She's regained her usual mental prowess. He releases the bunny and she hops away a few steps, putting her hands on her hips as she looks around.
"We need a plan." she states, although she's talking to herself more than Babou. "We're safe here, but we can't very well stay here forever..." She grumbles to herself a bit as she crosses her arms, mulling it over. "What do we have? I have that dumb map... To think it'd come in handy..."
"The case." Babou helpfully reminds her, and she turns to him.
"Oh yeah! That!" she chimes. "You can open it, I bet it's locked!"
Babou shakes his head, and she sighs. "What, afraid to break it?"
Another nod. Chess walks up to the briefcase, having Babou set it down, and starts to try and open it to see its contents. Should it be locked and unable to open, she'll notify Babou who silently agrees to pry it open with his large claws.
