I figured that we need to actually figure out the stats for characters and so on. Keep in mind that these are the stats for ALL characters, enemies and bosses - as in, all of them will have them. Specialized stats that only apply to a few, like if someone is weak to fire or more easily affected by poisoning, shouldn't be here since such stats are the same for almost everyone.
If there is a stat you disagree with or want to add, just post it! An explanation would also be good, if the stat isn't obvious. So far, these are the stats I figure should be in the game:
HP SP (Special points, AKA MP) Attack Defense Special attack Special defense Speed (How quickly and frequently your turn comes) Movement (How many squares you can move) Accuracy (How easily attacks hit) Evasion (How easily you're hit)

Luck (How often a character scores a critical hit) Special Luck (how often a character scors a special crit)

Special luck sounds sort of redundant. Why would there be a different stat for that? Can special attacks even get critical hits? I mean, that wouldn't really make sense for a fire spell, and I don't think I know of any game where you can score a critical hit with a special tech.

IDEA: Ally/friendship system!
It's been mentioned as special skills that certain characters get raised stats if someone else is in their party. I was pondering how Kikari and Crimson would work together, and realized that this "special skill" can become a subsystem of its own.
Basically, each character has other characters that it works well or doesn't work well with. For example, Devic would work well with Kikari and Elix, but would work badly with Iro or Myrian due to their holy energies.
Of course, they don't have to have both friends and enemies; I'd be hard-pressed to find an enemy to Kikari due to his popularity. But they shouldn't have a dozen friends, so Kikari would only work better with his closest allies (Devic, Crimson, Nema).
It would also add another layer of tactics to the game, as people have different layouts to try. Do they pick weaker characters who work well together? Stronger who are enemies? If you use Elixer and Dev, do you let Dev stay boosted or add in Iro to give Elix a stronger boost?
