"Before my post-humanization, I was a maverick. A drifter. My family had either died or abandoned me because of my "God-less" beliefs. After many years of failed relationships, I decided to simply wait until I can take to the stars and explore the universe alone...
'Except that never happened because we were too infatuated with self-actualization (myself included). We as human beings couldn't resist the urge to make ourselves in our own, personal image. It seemed like overnight people used gene therapy and nano-medicine to transform themselves into all sorts of things, from Centaurs to Dragons to bio-mechanical hybrid/cyborgs. People migrated by the thousands to new places in order to fit in with other post-humans. Animal/hybrid people moved to the wilds, technophiles moved to massive cities, and some got sucked into Virtual worlds unable to remove themselves for fear of madness.
'Perhaps half the world descended into chaos because many people couldn't cope with the fact that "human" was impossible to define anymore. Mass hysteria. Panic. People committed suicide in the name of "God"; we were turning our backs on Him. I don't know if He ever existed."

Name: Unknown, but he goes by Ym0rtl (pronounced Immortal)
Age: Appears to be in his early thirties, but probably closer to his sixties in human years.
Appearance: He looks pretty much human, except his body is covered in glowing tattoos that ripple over his body. Ymortl has control over these tattoos, often using his body as a canvas to add flair and drama to his conversations. His hair is unkempt, but clean. He is average in muscularity. He normally wears whatever clothing was native to his home world.
Abilities: Ymortl was one of the very few posthumans to really delve into the world of nano-biology. The reason for this is because, at will, his body can shift and mold to his own image. One needs very tight control over their own body in this way, because even a daydreaming thought could invoke a shape shift. Obviously, his mass must stay constant. This is his strength and weakness. He possess a higher than average strength and agility, along with naturally being intelligent. In his own world, every cell in his body had information about every other cell in his body and thus, could repair itself instantly from any sort of injury. However, after he fell through to another universe, a lot of that computational power has been lost because the quantum mechanics of this universe differs slightly than his home world. This left his regenerative abilities modest and lacking, yet present.
Strengths: His body is his best weapon, capable of true shape shifting as long as his mass stays constant. He was also a scientist in his old life, so he retains a lot of information about science/technology.
Weaknesses: His shape shifting takes several moments to fully actualize. With exception of small changes like claws or fangs, he needs time to shift around. Also, larger changes must leave parts of his body useless or vulnerable. For instance, wings would leave his body frail and light in order to shift the wings to fly. He tends to stand out in this setting because of his tattoos. He cannot be stealthy for that reason as well.
More later??
