... We have none.
We have the bare bones, but we still need an actual plot.
Currently, what we have is:
1. The foresters are scattered all over the place. 2. Everyone has to return to the clearing. 3. The island crashes possibly? This one's unclear. 4. Everyone goes to search for the culprit of it all. 5. They find said culprit and kicks their ass.
We know nothing else. So, we need to answer these questions: 1. Why are the foresters scattered? 1b. How did it happen? 2. Will the island crash or not? 3. Whatever else is an issue that needs to be resolved.

Well, I posted it in the game's IRC Channel as well, but I'll post it here for good measure. This is both a main villain concept and a plot concept that might work. It uses some parts from that plotline of mine that was supposed to be big but never really took off, because it might work better in the game-context.
First off, I thought the villain should be an OC, for obvious reasons. Also, I think the Creators shouldn't have a plot-important role, just some easter egg cameo somewhere. Maybe as a bonus boss or after a bonus boss.
Okay, well, h-h-here I go: Somewhere in space, close to the Forest island but not actually on it, is another large floating continent that houses a race of divine creatures, basically gods like those from Greek mythology. Their community is sealed-off by means of divine magic and is actually completely invisible to the general people's eyes. This community has remained undisturbed like this for several aeons, but one day one of its inhabitants, maybe the god of darkness, ( though I sort of want to avoid that because it'd be kind of cliche? ) maybe someone else, goes somewhat mad due to forcibly being stuck in the same place for so long.
He/She decides to leave clues to a ritual that would grant you access to this God-World in several of the nearby worlds, though they would only be understandable to people very knowledgeable in magic or the mystic and occult. (Hello, future plot coupons!) These remain undiscovered for several more years, much to the god's chagrin. He decides to leave his realm in disguise to find a vulnerable victim for his 'prank'. He finds a mage of an as of yet undetermined race, who is the only remaining survivor of his species/family and a lonely, reclusive and generally melancholic individual because of it.
The two travel around as companions for a while, deciphering these clues. They manage to gain entrance to the realm of the gods. Upon entering this realm, the wizard sees the beautiful Goddess of Destiny and instantly falls in love with her. Shortly afterwards, the two are discovered. The prankster god is stripped of his powers and banished to a lower world, while the mage is banished to the world behind the Veil of Reality from my RP plot. His spirit is crushed, though he still lives. He starts to learn how this world works, but living outside of normal reality warps his body and spirit. He begins to lose his sanity somewhat as his power grows, his abilities grow more sinister.
Eventually, he develops the ability to partially reach through to the normal world to contact the inhabitants of other worlds, though only for a brief period of time. This is how he contacts the other villains, luring them in with promises of divine power and access to the world of the gods. They choose to follow him.
This is where the foresters come in. One seemingly average day, the clearing is attacked by several low-tier villains at once. This is merely a distraction, allowing a group of three or four of the 'bigger' villains to perform the necessary rituals to unseal the gods' realm. As soon as the realm is unlocked, the mage grabs his chance to steal the Goddess of Destiny and pull her into his world to be his unwilling bride/lover/whatever.
With the person in control of plotting the universe missing, things start to go wrong. The worlds close to the gods' realm begin to warp and slowly fall apart. The Forest is heavily affected due to its status as a dimensional crossroads, warping almost beyond recognition in certain areas, leading to the foresters being scattered throughout it. They will have to find each other again. One group will stumble upon the ex-god, who now regrets what he's caused and will probably inform them of the clues or one group will accidentally decipher one of the clues and go from there.
Meanwhile, in the villain camp, several of the lesser villains will probably fight to control the Destiny Goddess so they can reshape the course of the universe as they see fit.
The proposed final boss sequence would thus be: -treacherous villain- -partially corrupted/fully corrupted goddess- -mage in whatever eldritch form he has now assumed-
So yeah, what do you think? Acceptable?
