Do Assignment 1 before attempting this one!
Write a scene where two characters who have different opinions/values on a subject interact in a way related to the subject. IE an animal hater or abuser interacting with an animal lover regarding a lost puppy.
Purpose: Writing characters with different values.
Requirements: The character needs to believe in the thing they are doing. Don't make them do a horrible thing just for the sake of doing a horrible thing! The scene should be serious! Don't have the subject be something silly.
Hard Mode: Don't treat either character as a villain!

Pipsqueak glanced out at the new human Faust had brought with him. The man just looked like any other human, but apparently he could do really neat things! His name was Cancled, Faust had said.
He approached him in order to say hi, but before he could speak up the man looked to him. His gaze was uncaring, like he was just surveying an item or decoration, and Pipsqueak smiled to him despite the vague feeling of unease it gave him. "Hi!"
"So that's the mouse he talked about." Cancled murmured, looking ahead as he continued on his way. Pipsqueak blinked and followed.
"You're Cancled, right?" he asked. The human just glanced to him briefly before entering the room he'd been assigned, sitting on the bed within it. Only then did he respond.
"You already know that. Don't waste time asking."
Pipsqueak frowned, his ears drooping. "I just wanted to say hi..."
"Why?" Cancled asked, stretching a bit.
"Because, you'll be living here! We can be friends!"
The human laughed. "Friends with a machine?" he asked, poking Pipsqueak on the forehead hard enough to make him back up a step. "Don't delude yourself."
"I'm not a machine!" the mouseboy protested. "My name's Pipsqueak!"
"You are a machine." Cancled spoke idly as though stating a fact. "There's nothing in there but pieces of metal and plastic."
"I'm not a machine!" Pipsqueak whined, stomping a bit. "I'm Pipsqueak! A machine's not alive and I am!"
"No, you're not." Cancled shook his head. "But I guess you were built to think of yourself as human." For a moment, he sneered. "What a joke... and I have to work with these things."
If not for his sensitive ears, Pipsqueak wouldn't have caught the last part. He huffed, glaring at the human. "You're a jerk." he grumbled.
Cancled only answered with a shrug, idly watching the child again. His gaze was cold and calculating, again like he was looking at an item rather than a living being, and Pipsqueak backed away a few steps as it begun to unnerve him.
"Wait." Cancled said; it sounded more like a demand than a request. Pipsqueak hesitantly paused. "Come back here."
"I don't want to..."
"I SAID come back here." The human grumbled, eyes narrowing. "Can't even follow orders..."
"And I said I don't want to!" Pipsqueak yelled. "And that I'm not just a stupid machine!"
"Fine, sorry." Cancled sighed and crossed his arms. "Will you come over now?"
"Nuh-uh." Pipsqueak turned to the door, glancing back at Cancled before heading out. "Not until you're nicer!"
Before the door slid shut he heard a vague "I have time, I guess" murmured with a hint of disappointment. He shook his head - he already didn't like this human, not at all.
Maybe he could convince Faust to get rid of him...
