Sorry, but I can't just abandon my characters.. And I'm NOT going to just make a batch of new ones. The last thing I need is more people to take care of.
That, and you'd probably know it's me anyway. In order for you not to know, I would have to create something completely new and abandon any thoughts of my current characters. Even if I could use another name, like Ghost, I can't go and make more new characters without a really, really good reason.

I will explain what might have been meant by CuteCat.
Every character, or atleast every worthwile character, has their own background, their own personality, things that make them scared, things that make them happy. They have their own thought process on the world.
A player, is the person who controls these characters. It is the responsibility of the player to become an actor, and act as any one character would. Think of someone like... Orlando Bloom. He played an elf, a good guy against evil. Then, in another movie, he had to erase all that elfyness, and take on the part of the neutral son of a pirate. The two characters are so different from each other, and Bloom took on that he couldn't just play these characters as the same.
Players that have static characters, meaning characters that are the basically the same except with a new name and face, generally play characters to the degree that they go past what the character would do, and use the character as an avatar for doing what the player wants rather than what a character's wants and goals are.

I don't think we should make completly new characters. I just think we should tone everything down a bit. Make the evil characters, not crazy strong like it seems they are when I RP.

Okay, I'm going to say this once in here, and then I'm going to get ticked if someone b*tches about it in the channel again:
SURE! We have a problem. Okay. HAVE SOME F*CKING PATIENCE! Ops are developing solutions as I type this, and it will take time for these solutions to take effect. Do NOT complain in the channel about how the problem's getting worse! Sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better. Don't just start complaining because you don't think anyone's paying attention to the problem. People know about the problem! People are working on fixing the problem! Your whining isn't going to speed up the process!

*Necromancy go!* I think the problem has gone into reverse. Now the villains are getting their asses handed to them almost on-sight.

'Tis the same problem that I remember seeing in #jnv. When a "bad guy" shows up, every "hero" character within a twenty mile radius instantly appears at his location to gang-up on and destroy him before he can get in a monologue.

Indeed, and this either leaves to the evil character's prompt demise or the player buffing him up to stand a chance, which easy to overdo and to make them seem godmodded. I REALLY had to stretch things to save mine and CC's shapeshifting demons, though, luckily, I didn't overdo it and went more for the luck and skill approach.
