This RP will take place in the forums. Anyone can enter, as long as they behave and try to keep to the RP rules.
The world is primarily a fantasy one, there are however Sci-Fi elements in it. Try to maintain balance during character creation, that is if your character is a powerful cyborg, don't make him an outstanding mage too and vice-versa.
As for the races, there are pretty much no limits, although try to keep the characters within sane limits, like no dragon-elf-reploid-human-Moogle hybrids, please. -.-;
As for your characters backstories, they can be whatever you want them to be, however, there's also an option of the characters finding themselves years before in a specific place all of a sudden. If you want to use that option, PM me.

The world of Arn.
The world of Arn is filled with water, with three main continents - the cold and uneven Kalritis, the wet and tropical Muntrena and the hot and dry Sakhme. Of course there's a lot of climate variations within each continent, but the listed above climates are the dominant ones for each continent.
The continents are connected with island chains, many of them volcanic in nature, and the passages become broader or disappear completely depending on the tides.
Starting with Kalritis, it's mostly a no-man's land, with small gatherings of huntsmen here and there, living in moving sled villages, or high in the mountain ranges.
In the northern Cas mountains there's the kingdom of Galbas, ruled by king Johann 3rd and queen Vezia. It holds control over most of the Cas mountains and some highlands.
There's also the Turik tribe, holding control over the neighbouring Mintris mountain range, living mostly in secreted caves. It's ruled by Chief Tarda.
The third country is Malentri, occupying a large part of the coast, a seafaring nation that sometimes raids other coastal settlements, but mostly lives from Kirgis hunting and selling Kirgis-based products.
Other than humans, Kalritis is inhabited by various animals and non-human races, some of them living amongst humans, some not.
Muntrena is full of small jungle tribes ruling over a few square kilometres of land each, no use counting them all. They mostly keep to themselves, sometimes trading with each other and larger nations.
The centre of the continent is ruled by Peristis and the Peristean empire. Its stone structures are easy to spot among the trees, they often capture jungle tribes as slaves to build new structures. They are ruled by the Rain Emperor Malehitis. Stories of horrible living sacrifices at the Rain Temple are well-known and confirmed.
The other country is Miliena, the forest country gathering various non-human races, like forest elves, driads, ents, Chirikoi (small fox-like humanoids) and others. They grow their homes out of trees and are generally paceful, but they have been known to deal with anyone passing their borders without proper diplomatic procedures most brutally. They are ruled by the Council of Nine, formed out of the representatives of each major race forming Milenia.
The more mild in terms of climate part of Muntrena with a few mountain ranges is occupied by a coalition of kingdoms under the leadership of the king of the largest one, Falkia - King Raymund Stella - and a council gathering the rulers of all the other kingdoms within the coalition. Their land is quite varied, with Jakra controlling enormous plains that give birth to food for many of other countries, Gelda occupying quite a fragment of the costline, Ferinte settled comfortably in the highlinds, Hardin ruling over the Eastern Cassus mountains, e.t.c. Overally, there are 11 kingdoms in the coalition, with the gathering place for the council being the monumental capitol city of Falkia - Rindri.
This leaves us with Sakhme, the lands of deserts.
Most of the central Khasis desert is occupied by Nartum, an empire known for raising monumental stone structures and worshipping sun and rain as gods. It's mostly a rural country, although it has a formidable army. It's ruled by emperor Tai-Re. The religious cast has quite some power in this country.
The Southern, hottest part of Sakhme is occupied by many cat-like races called the Tassim. It's a bundle of small kingdoms and wandering tribes. They are ruled by the Kahassa council.
There are also numerous smaller kingdoms in the island chains. The more important are Carnia on the island of Hurris and Mal on the island of Erasm.
